0_o ??? Oh no!

It'll be March this Monday and i haven't started my term paper yet(Oh! no). Last Wednesday and Friday, there's no class in English 2 because last Friday is a Muslim Holiday and Wednesday, i don't know why there is no class.
It's really hard to find references for my term paper, I've searched in the library and in the internet but i only got few reference book and not less than ten(10) references from the internet. Hope that I could make my term paper before the dead line and do it right as well. "May GOD help us and guide us in making our term paper."

..another group activity..

I was absent last February 5, 2010 because i got sick. I really thought that the outlining group activity was done that day. Last Wednesday, February 10, 2010 we have another activity (outlining activity). We were divided into groups again, new group members and new friends.
I really forgot who were my group mates in that activity. I got scared that I would not be able to join that said activity. Thanks to my marker, group 4 accepted me as their group mate(hehhe...joke).
I really was thankful to group 4 and to my friend who belong to this group for accepting me as their group mate. Each group showed and explained to the class their works and the other group who are next to them would evaluate their mistakes and ask them.

...i must start making my term paper now...

This is really the time to start our term paper. Last Wednesday, February 3, 2010, Ma’am Lynnie checked our thesis statement for our term paper. She asked us individually. In order to defend our term paper, we must have a strong thesis statement that could support our research and to make (10) ten pages of it.

At first, she explained what a strong thesis statement is. A thesis statement should not be too descriptive so that one could support his/her research paper.
I was really very nervous when ma'am stated to speak. She started asking people at the back and asked many questions why they have this thesis statement. We were asked one by one and when it's nearly my turn, I almost torture my classmate who is sitting beside me (joke..haha) because of nervous.

I really have to work hard to be able to finish my term paper on time. I really wish that my MaƱana habit (I’ll do it later habit) and my sleeping habit will not disturb me in making this term paper.

..January 29, 2010 activity..

Last week, we discussed about the APA (American Psychological Association) format of references. This reference format is use for our research paper. Because we are not so familiar of APA format, our professor teaches us the new and proper format for APA. We even had an activity on writing APA format last Friday January 29, 2010. Before the activity started, ma’am gave us a photocopy of APA format-6th Edition which we pay 3 pesos. This library guide has a lot in it. There are many examples of APA format for book, journals, magazine, and newspaper and etc. We are grouped into 4, ma’am gave different books to each different group representative for us to search the important details of the book and write it in APA format in the Manila paper. After checking our works, we only got 8 but it was really fun and we learn a lot from it.

..don't agree on 10-years marriage renewal..

Marriage is sacred; it is a commitment to your partner and to God. Most couples nowadays are not having good relationship to each other. In other countries like United States have their so called “DIVORCE”. Divorce is a separation of two couples or an ending marriage by an official decision of the court law. If couples are divorced, they are free to look and marry for a new partner. Here in our country, “Philippines” don’t have this divorce thing. Yes, it’s common that some couples are not having a good relationship which leads to separation but it doesn’t mean that their marriage has ended. If couples are married here, in church or in state and get separated, they don’t have the right to marry their new partner unless they are annulled. Annulment takes many years to process and spent lots of money.

“Marriage contract will valid only for 10-years and expires if not renewed” according to women’s group 1-Ako Babaeng Astig Aasenso (1-ABAA). They proposed that the enactment of a law here, in the Philippines that will limit a marriage validity for only 10-years. The group expressed their concerns about separated and abandoned women who are forced to raise their families alone. Their president explains that “A marriage license should be just like a passport or driver’s license. If we are not interested to renew it, then it expires,” “We are tough women, we will fight for our right to be free from the bondage of marriage,”. According to this proposed law it will give couples a chance to evaluate the status of their relationship.
If they think that marriage is bondage, then why marry? This only leads to tragic ending. I certainly won’t agree to this proposed law that marriage contract will valid only for 10-years and expires if not renewed. Marriage is not like passports and drivers license that if not renewed then it expires. What were they thinking? They only think of marriage as a social act not a spiritual act. Marriage is sacred and a commitment to God and to your partner. Church and government don’t force anyone to get married. If a couple accepts the vow of marriage, the man and his wife are now union with Christ and His Church.

Many families will be ruin. Children like us are the one who are mostly affected if this law will be legalized. If a child saw his/her parents having miss understanding, he /she might think that if 10-years will come, his/ her parents might not renew their marriage and will be separated. This may lead to children’s rebellion and many families will surely be broken.

This is a Christian nation, the law of God and His Church must be followed. Do some serious thinking and research before getting married so that no one will repent and no children will be wretch and abandon and no families will be broken.

..blog task (writing a reaction paper)..

Essay writing is our lesson last Wednesday January 20, 2010. Ma'am teaches us the basic steps on how to write an essay and how to stick to the topic. Blog task were given for us to practice. The blog task is all about our reaction and opinion on the different issues that are happening in the country and in the world (reaction paper).

Friday afternoon, an important event had happen which many students attended. Most of our classmates in English 2 thought that there are no classes going on because the said event is ending at 4:30 and our class would also start at this time. We waited for our teacher to arrive. 20 minutes later, she showed up bringing nothing. After entering the room, Ma'am told us that we are not having class because only few students showed up. She also collected the assignments which she had given last Wednesday and reminded us of our blogging task (which i spent a lot of time thinking what should be a nice topic for this assignment).

..moved examination date..

Our exam is supposed to be last Wednesday, January 13, 2010. Thank God our Professor moved the examination date. She printed something and posted it on the board. It’s all about the final coverage for prelim examination. After she posted it, she told us that we will have our make-up class on Friday, January 15, 2010 and prelim examination on Saturday, January 16, 2010; but many of us protested because we have our classes. As a solution of our protest, Ma’am let us vote for examination day. The majority vote is Friday, January 15, 2010. So, Friday it is.
We discussed about avoiding fragments and run-on sentences. After the discussion, Ma’am told us to brain storm and make a topic sentence for our term paper and see her in the office after-wards.
